Wine Tasting Event Toasts New Canaan Library

Posted in : Wine Making

(added last year!)

A wine tasting to benefit a local institution is always worth toasting, and this Friday, April 8, the New Canaan library hosts a special event featuring wines from Davis Family Vineyards, as well as a selection of cheeses and other bite-sized delicacies from the Darien Cheese and Fine Foods shop. Davis Family Vineyards is an award-winning California vineyard nestled in the famous Russian River Valley, boasting Zinfandel vines first planted in 1896. Renowned winemaker Guy Davis will instruct guests on how to select and taste wines, while Ken Skorvon of the Darien Cheese and Fine Foods shop will help with food and wine pairing suggestions. You’ll also have an opportunity to win a magnum of Davis Family Vineyard wine and a gourmet basket from Darien Cheese and Fine Foods shop. Proceeds from the $50 admission price will benefit the New Canaan library.
